Purpose:
To recognize an NDEDIC member who has done an outstanding job of promoting dental EDI, as well as lending support to the mission and goals of the National Dental EDI Council (NDEDIC). The award is named for the founder of NDEDIC. NDEDIC membership votes on a slate of nominees, based on established criteria, to select the award recipient.
Criteria:
Any member in good standing whose NDEDIC membership was active during the last award eligibility period, who has not been a previous recipient of the Benjamin D. Ward Award for Excellence in Dental EDI and is not a current member of the Council’s Board of Trustees. Exemplary performance by an individual must clearly identify them as having played a key role in endorsing and enhancing the mission and vision of NDEDIC. Outstanding accomplishments and/or achievements to which an individual dedicated a significant amount of their time may be considered as qualifications for this award if it is of magnitude and significance to NDEDIC and/or the dental services sector of the healthcare industry.
