The National Dental EDI Council will hold its 2026 Summit April 28-30, 2026, at the Omaha Marriott in Omaha, NE!

About the Summit: The Summit is NDEDIC's signature event, bringing together payers, providers, clearinghouses, practice management vendors, and other key industry stakeholders. The evening of Wednesday, April 29, will feature a special evening social event at Werner Park, home of the Triple A Omaha Storm Chasers!

FEATURED PRESENTATION Electronic Adoption Opportunities in the Dental Industry: Working Smarter with the CAQH Index Presenters: Kristine Burnaska, CAQH; Brooke Shearon, CAQH; Brigid Dwyer, Zelis Dental industry leaders rely on accurate benchmarks to reduce administrative burden and focus resources where they matter most. In this interactive 45‑minute session, CAQH shares the latest industry trends, and a set of new interactive tools makes the Index easier to explore and more valuable for the work you do every day. Join us for high‑level trends from the 2025 CAQH Index, the industry’s trusted annual benchmarking report on electronic administrative transaction adoption and the savings it delivers. The session includes a live demonstration of Index Pro, CAQH’s new dynamic analytics dashboard. Index Pro makes it easier to explore Index data, uncover opportunities, and apply insights directly to everyday decision‑making. To bring the data to life, Brigid Dwyer from Zelis will join the discussion to share real‑world examples of how organizations are using the CAQH Index and Index Pro to drive efficiency and measurable value. LEARNING SESSION 1 2026's Dental Administrative Workforce Presenter: Teresa Duncan, Odyssey Management, Inc. Dental teams face challenges from unfavorable workforce issues and increased administrative demands. Legacy RCM workflows have shifted toward outsourcing and faceless patient interactions. Join Teresa Duncan as she leads us through an insurance coordinator's typical day to identify their current challenges (both internal and external) and how they classify their wins.	10:30AM - 12:00PM

LEARNING SESSION 2 Transport vs Decision: Clearinghouses, Prior Authorization, and the Real Shape of “Interoperability” Presenter: Arna Meyer, Stedi, Inc. Join Arna Meyer of Stedi Inc. as she draws on her experience chairing the WEDI Dental Subworkgroup and advising HHS on health IT policy to lead this session explaining the difference between transport (moving, validating, and tracking) and authority (deciding, signing, and explaining). She will describe the “two rails” model (administrative vs. clinical) and why prior authorization sits at the junction. Participants will identify where AI can reduce friction in prior authorization without becoming an unaccountable decision-maker and apply a layered architecture to avoid common interoperability and accountability failure modes. The session will also define what “good” looks like for lifecycle clarity, including receipts, timestamps, status semantics, and auditability.	1:00PM - 2:30PM

WORK GROUP 1: ELIGIBILITY AND BENEFITS NDEDIC's Work Group 1 is responsible for advancing the growth and adoption of electronic eligibility benefit inquiries submitted via the 270/271 transactions. During this open forum, the Work Group's leadership will review its current priorities and upcoming projects while providing attendees to hear from each other and brainstorm solutions to their most pressing challenges in this area.	3:00PM - 4:00PM

LEARNING SESSION 3 Oral Health Interoperability Alliance: Building the Future of Data Exchange Together Presenter: Mark Marciante, Leavitt Partners The Oral Health Interoperability Alliance (OHIA) is a coalition of payers, vendors, providers, connectivity partners, and public‑sector observers committed to making oral health data work for whole‑person care. In this session, you’ll hear how leaders are coming together to align on standards, design real‑world pilots, and ensure dentistry has a strong voice in the future of interoperability.
